I’ve been a fan and/or groupie for Minus the Bear since forever. But I think it’s safe to say that Eric bigger fan and/or groupie than I. Their newest album is called Acoustics and it is in fact acoustic. It’s a little on the short side, however I would rather have short and good then long and crappy. Er… yeah. Anyways try it out. The song is called Guns & Ammo.

A while ago I posted a song by Be Your Own Pet, and I think I’ve “bested” it. Enter Deerhoof. Founded in San Fransisco, Deerhoof is a mixture of happy melodies with experimental flair and hyper-expressive instrument playing. It’s awesome. The first track is from their yet unreleased album, Offend Maggie. And the second from their album, Friend Opportunity.

This is probably the most popish/indie band I listen to. The Stills are not the best band indie I’ve ever heard, but their not bad. Their new album, Oceans Will Rise, could be described as bland, stale indie rock. Though there are some little “gems” that I liked. The second track, Snow in California, is one of those gems with soft, rounded guitar riffs and a dreamy vocal hook. So give it a trial run and see if you like it.
